An economic and political alternative (summary)
An economic and political alternative for the existing situation of crisis, of what would it consist? The writer of this article has thought deeply about this issue and came to the following model:
-Economics: Income Depending Payment worldwide In this model the price of every arbitrary product would depend of the income that someone has or the amount of money one possesses. This would mean that all people with a low income would pay a much lower price for products and people with a high income a higher price. This would equalize all and has as extra benefits that corruption, arms trade and crime in general, don’t pay off. There could be a situation of complete peace.
To some extent there would be a difference up to a certain income, as incentive for initiative. Above that income not any more, as then corruption, arms trade and crime in general, would still pay off.
By the present-day electronic possibilities this system would be possible without seeing the balance of someone.
-Politics: Number of votes to income In this model the more wealthy people would have more votes in politics (until a certain limit). This would mean that people with a higher education and on world-level the western countries, would have more influence. This is good as they have a bigger environmental consciousness by which they can fulfil a leading role. Other countries can however also blossom and as such begin to have more influence in politics. This because they have more economic possibilities in this system. People with a higher income have in general more intellectual capacity and are as such more adequate to determine the outlook of the world. One could speak of an ‘enlightened democracy’.
-An ecologically and spiritually oriented world Condition for this all are an ecologically oriented economy and politics and one shouldn’t speak anymore of left and right, but of ‘lifestyle’. Those should all be green and one should be able to vote for the lifestyle of one’s choice (there is much diversity in the ecological world). When the ecology of the west goes along with the principles already based on nature of many Third World countries, we’ll have a beautiful world.
Spirituality should be a base for life. This specially also in science. In my own scientific practice I have applied this and in this way I came to the model above. By giving a definition of literature (I have done Spanish language and literature) on which left-wing and right-wing critics could agree on, I have been able to solve the opposition between these people and to bring about unity. I applied this to the Spanish American world as a whole connecting the lower and higher classes and did this also for the world.
The model above contains elements of left and of right, of socialistic oriented ideas and capitalistic. As such I want to bring unity where there was division, which is, in my vision, a condition for peace. This could be seen as a spiritual act and in that way it is the spirituality that determines science and not the other way around.
-The financial institutes Banks aren't needed anymore. There will be a fixed amount of money that fluctuates through society. The connection with gold is not needed. Gold will be just a commodity, like any other, for which one pays to Capacity. In that way, gold will have its intrinsic value again.
The stock exchange should also stop. It causes among others greed and has lost its right of existence by wrong behaviour. It is at the root of the big rise and fall of the economy which is not desired and it takes away transparency because of which nobody has a good view of the situation anymore. Control instruments don’t work, as underlying there is greed.
-Quality and quantity Herewith qualitative high and so sustainable goods should be produced. Greed exists because the goods that are produced don’t really satisfy and as such are never enough. Quality brings satisfaction. I live in an ecological neighbourhood and that is a good example of a satisfying or even happiness bringing situation.
In this way a world would come into existence without a big up- and down-going economy. So a more peaceful world, with all the advantages that go along. Also the spiritual and social values of the South and the East could come more easily to the North and the West and the material possibilities of the North and the West to the South and the East. This is important as the present division in a First and a Third World is not desired. This division is a major cause of mutual misunderstanding and conflict. One tends to think much from the own world and projects this on the other. There is one world however and I believe that from this (supposed) duality a beautiful unity can come about.
In short the goal is a green, balanced and tranquil world in peace.
